フリーター、家を買う Freeter, ie o kau

Plot:
The story revolves around Take Seiji, who quits his job after three months. With no dreams, no savings, and a poor relationship with his family, he becomes a hikikomori. However, after his mother falls ill with depression, he ends up having to take on a part-time job at a construction site. Because of that, he soon decides to work towards rebuilding his life: "Even though I'm just a freeter, I'm going to buy a house for the sake of my family." One of the people he meets at the construction site is Chiba Manami, who graduated from a top-class university and joined a well-known general contracting firm. Manami is the complete opposite of Seiji. But while their personalities clash at first, they gradually come to understand each other. --Tokyograph

My thoughts:

I wont be calling this a favourite drama anytime soon, nor do I care to re-watch it.
It was not THAT bad of a drama, I just found the mother to be quite pathetic, other people have harder things happening to them, but still are able to go about their everyday lives, unfortunately this maybe too harsh of a view of me to hold, I should try to sympathise with her situation more.

I can understand her lonliness of having a husband who does not easily show his love and care for his family, but I think his attitude towards doing things, is just his way of caring.
The best example of this is when we see the mother in hospital, and he is by her side, here we see that he really loves this women and is very worried about her. Not showing his own weaknesses to his family etc, I feel this is his way of caring.

I think this drama has a nice sentiment, in that the son wants his family particularly his mother, who he feels needs the love and support of her family now more than ever, to have a good life, and to truelly be happy, Thus sets out to find the best possibl way to do this , by first solving his families biggest hinderence ~ the cruelty of the neighbours, he does this by setting out to find his mom a nice home. Where she will be able to create a new life, one which is free of the suffering she currently has.

I thought it was good, that we get to see the harsh reality of the workplace and real life. This is something we are not taught in schools and can only experience once we are going out into the big wide world.

What I liked about this drama, is that we see a variety of people whom all have ideals of what they want, but gradually come to accept that the ideals they once had are not necessarily the right way to go, for example; Akari - she wants someone with a higher status, and income, that the people she works with, but gradually comes to the realisation that some things are more important than wealth and status, as she finds real love.
Tis is also evident, Seiji himself, as he took on a job that to him was something to do whilst looking for a better job; one which would give people a better view of him within society and not one that is for those of societies lower classes.
However, once Seiji comes to see that he can attain true happiness working in this environment, unlike any job he previously had and those he was aspiring within the higher classes of society, he is able to see that his initial ideals were not something he truely desires in life.

快感 フレーズ Kaikan Phrase

Plot:
After the break up of their old band, guitarist Yuki & drummer Santa decide to form a new one. They recruit bass player Towa, young guitarist Atsuro, and after much persuasion, vocalist Sakuya. Together they form Lucifer and they struggle to make it in the music business, and also to stay together. As well, they have to deal with personal issues, such as parental objections, and watching their old bands succeed ahead of them. Sakuya is the most troubled band member, as he has to deal with his tragic past, and his relationship with teenaged lyricist Aine. - http://www.animenewsnetwork.com.au/

My thoughts:

I really like this anime.

I like that we are able to see how each member of Λucifer leaves an impression on the other musicians they meet.
I think it is good to see how Sakuya's character grows, thanks to the influence he has from not only the other members of Λucifer but also from Aine.

This anime is great, It is good in showing to us, the realistic aspect of the music industry, to which we are able to gain an insight. This is not only of the business side of music but also, the heartache and trials the band has to face in order to make it in the industry, with the valuable support and encouragement they provide to one another.

We are also able to witness each of the members growth as musicians, however the growth we see is not merely limited to their talents as musicians, but is also inclusive of the ongoing growth within the individual, to become the person they are today.

The progression we see both musically and characteristically; which we see occuring to each of the individual members, is what makes it so believable to the viewers, that Λucifer are one of the greatest bands we will ever encounter.

When we first meet Ralph of Metro Records, I felt this was a petty man, The lengths he is going to, to bring the distruction of Λucifer is petty. I often thought it would be much more beneficial to him and his company if he were to use Λucifer's popularity to his advantage as he could have found many ways in which their association with one another could be beneficial to Metro Records.
However, his feelings for Λucifer and especially his unwillingness to not lose to Sakuya, made me suspicious of his relationship with Sakuya. Which I was right to be, as I just knew there was something more to their relationship than being mere rivals in the business world.
I thought it was good how they incorporated both the real life and anime band into the credits (*^_^*)b

Fugitive: Plan B 도망자: Plan B / Do Mang Ja: Plan B / Runaway : Plan B

Plot:
During the Korean War, a vast amount of money disappeared. Now, some 60 years later, the money has reappeared, leading to a frantic chase across the globe. Little do they know that her father Hiroki (Takenaka Naoto), apart from being a business man, is a powerful yakuza. In this love triangle, who will finally win the love of Ji Woo?

My thoughts:
After watching the 1st episode, this drama looks promising.
The character of Ji Woo seems fun and interesting.
-Edit-
I finished this series.
I really liked this drama,
It had its sad moments, but was well balanced out with its comical moments and scenes of action.
Alot of the time, the epsiodes would have a cliffhanger ending, leaving me excited to watch the next episode.
This drama was somewhat reminiscent of IRIS to me, perhaps because of the mystery and mix of action, tragedy and comedy as well as the twists included, all of which, making for an entertaining drama.

71 Into the Fire

Plot:
"Into the Gunfire" is based on the true story of 71 students who fight hundreds of North Korean soldiers in front of a middle school on June 25, 1950 during the Korean War. Kap-jo (Kwon Sang-Woo) was formerly a student who was convicted of murder. While serving his sentence he volunteers to fight as a soldier ...

My thoughts:
I don't like war movies, but this was very good.
I didn't want any of them to die, but of course that would change history.
I was surprised that TOP had such a major role in this movie, as I had assumed his role to be just that of a minor character, whom we see every now and then.

I think TOP was great in this movie, his acting is good.
I also thought it was typical that the two characters would be getting along at the end, as this tends to happen in movies.

JOKER 許されざる捜査官 JOKER Yurusarezaru Sosakan

Plot:
Date Kazuyoshi (Sakai) is a detective on the Kanagawa prefectural police force. During the day, he is known as a "Buddha" for his gentle personality, pouring all of his energy into resolving each case. At night, however, he transforms into a cruel punisher as his gentleness gives way to his anger towards the criminals. The series poses questions about what justice and evil truly are. Tokyograph

My thoughts:
This is my favourite Summer 2010 drama!
I think it'll be interesting to find out just who knows what is going on, and also what happens to the people.

I'm suspicious of EVERYONE!!!
XD

Episode 10 was good, we found out so many things but we are also left with questions, what happens to the people, when they are on the island???

I like the character of Date.

I also like Kudo, the way he speaks to Miyage makes me think if Ryo spoke to the guests on Janiben he'd probably be this way to the female guests ha.
I watched the SP episode, it is a shame it is more of a re-cap on what we saw through out the series, with a little added.

The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince

Plot:
The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul's grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Eun Chan begged to work at the coffee shop, and not long after, feelings start to spark, except, how would Han Kyul accept his "homosexuality"?

My thoughts:
I've not yet finished this drama.

I like this drama, I decided to watch it after seeing the Big Bang parody of it (which is hilarious and I would reccommend you to also watch it)

When I first started watchign this drama I didn't know if the character Ga Eun Chan was being played by male or female (since I don't watch alot of Kdrama I was not familiar with the actress).

I think the way they handle the issues of homosexuality is done very well, not only does this consider falling in love with someone of the same gender, but goes much further in how would you cope if you suddenly found yourself in love with someone of the same gender, when you have previously been hetrosexual.

The acting in this drama is very good.

What I like about this drama is that when the truth eventually came out, the man was not all of a sudden really happy to find out that he is not actually homosexual but rather he had to struggle with his feelings and did not accept the girl, in a yay we can be together no problem way.

It must be hard for someone to go through such feelings and finally coming to acceptance that you are homosexual. But to then find out that after finally resolving your feelings and coming to turns with something that isn't widely accepted in society, that you aren't actually, must be something really tough.

It is not something I can imagine going through.
I really like the character of Ha Rim, he stood by his friend when he could see how hard it had been for Han Kyul to cope with recent events to find out it was all for nothing as Eun Chan is female.
I'm glad he is able to remain friendly with Eun Chan too, and that he was able to give support to Han Kyul when everyone else was not.

In episodes 14 & 15 the grandma said some really cruel and harsh things to Eun Chan, I think it was good the way Eun Chan handled this, as she could have created an even worse situation by answering back and defending herself, instead she holds it in despite the hurt being caused to her, she's chosen to be the better person and just wait for the family of the person she loves, to accept as they once had.

I've watched the entire series now
I think it was good how they delt with the issues, and rather than just glossing over things they went more in depth with it, for example, when Han Kyul takes time off work because he doesn't know what to feel and is comeing to terms with the possibility of being a homosexual.

This drama was fun to watch until the end.

I liked all of the Coffee Princess as they seem like alot of fun, and that they would make an enjoyable place to work.
My favourite character is probably Jin Ha Rim, becuase, he is funny and it looks like he just takes each day as it comes but is also loyale to his friends, he acts as though he doesn't care but he's actualy really sensitive.

ホタルノヒカリ Hotatu no Hikari

Plot:
Season 1~
Hotaru works for a famous interior design company. It's a glamorous job but Hotaru's private life is totally the opposite of glamorous. She lives alone, and when she isn't working she's mostly lazing about her rented house in training wear. She's not interested in men. In fact, she isn't interested in anything. "I'd rather lay around than fool around," is her motto.

Her landlord is a bar owner, and one day his son, who has just separated from his wife, comes to inspect the rental property, not knowing that someone is living there. He is shocked at the mess, but not as shocked as Hotaru. He turns out to be her boss, Takano. -- Japan Times Online

Season 2~
Three years ago, the heart of Amemiya Hotaru, the ‘dried up female’, had settled on Takano ‘Buchou’, and the ‘dried up female’ was supposed to have grown up … However, right after that, Hotaru was posted as a project team member to far-away Hong Kong. She was cut off from ‘Buchou’ and devoted herself to work. Then, three years later, Hotaru returns to Japan after finishing the project. She is assigned to the First Planning Department, where ‘Buchou’ belongs, and immediately begins work as one of the team members. However, both the staff as well as the mood in the company have changed a great deal

My thoughts:
Season 1
I'm not that into this drama, but I did continue to watch it, there were some nice moments, and sometimes I just had to feel bad for Hotaru.
I aslo don't really get what is so bad about lazing around at home wearing more comfortable clothes.
Season 2.
Just like the first season, I was not into it that much.
I didn't really care for the characters or the storyline,
I think there were times when I would become bored, or be left wondering why it would be like this, as it was just a little unrealistic for characters to be behaving in such a way, at times (usually in the case of Hotaru herself).

怪物くん Kaibutsu-kun

Plot:
Tells the story of the prince of the land of monsters. As part of his training to succeed the throne, he visits the human world, where he has various adventures with other monsters.

My thoughts:
When I first started watching this I thought it might be too much for children,
However, the more I watched, the more I liked it.
I like that each episode had morals.

I really like the character of Kaibutsu-kun, I think its quite sweet how he doesn't understand yet, he tries to, even though he usually gets it wrong or still misunderstands.

I really like Ohno Satoshi as an actor. :)
I still need to watch the SP
-Edit-
I watched the SP, its is kinda random, but enjoyable and funny 8D
